NY Pro Audio Connection was formed in early 2018 by three audio engineers who met in the live music industry. All three of us share a love for high fidelity audio and all types of music. We have been involved with almost every genre including classical, jazz, reggae, metal, electronica, new music, rock, among others. When we began the company, we intended to start a one-stop shop production solution where the word “production” is all encompassing. We take ownership of all aspects of an event, and aim to provide clients a stress free experience that feels almost effortless regardless of scope.

An accomplished touring engineer and production manager, Jay has toured worldwide with artists such as Toe, Broken Social Scene, Son Lux, Lee Ranaldo, So Percussion, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Stars, amongst others. After freelancing for the first decade of his career, Jay took over as the Director of Production and Chief Audio Engineer at (le) poisson rouge (LPR) in New York’s Greenwich Village. Apart from leading the department, during his tenure at LPR he co-designed and oversaw the installation of a new PA in 2018 in partnership with Martin Audio as well as overseeing the full redesign and implementation of audio, lighting, and video systems around the venue through 2023. Originally from the state of Louisiana, Dan took indirect routes to both NYC and the world of production. He began his career at the accounting firm KPMG as a licensed CPA in the states of Texas and New York. After attending Louisiana State University for both an undergrad and master's degree in accounting, he worked in Houston, TX and finally transferred to New York in 2012 (with a brief 3-month stint in Tokyo in 2013). Dan pivoted in 2015 to a career in audio engineering after attending the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in NYC. As the company’s finance and accounting partner, Dan oversees all the financial aspects of PAC as well as working gigs as a freelance engineer. He has years of experience in production for corporate events with large production companies as well as years in music venues such as Bowery Ballroom, Sony Hall, LPR, and BRIC House. He has also toured throughout the US and Europe and currently tours with Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum. Dan’s meticulous attention to the numbers and his leadership at events helps keep everything on track.
